Kids Against Hunger (Charity Event)

PCA Diablo is teaming up with Kids Against Hunger Bay Area in a charity event to fight hunger. Every hour of every day 10 children per minute die of starvation or malnutrition-related diseases. Kids Against Hunger Bay Area is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to end this tragedy.

Kids Against Hunger Bay Area is about feeding starving children and empowering kids, teens and adults to be part of the solution. We do this by using volunteers to package and ship highly nutritious, life-saving meals to starving and malnourished children in developing countries and the United States. Kids Against Hunger - Bay Area is working with Convoy of Hope, K-Love Radio and Ukranian Culture Community to get as many meals as possible to help feed the Ukrainian Refugees.

We use the funds received through donations to purchase the high-quality ingredients that are a part of Kids Against Hunger's specific food recipe (e.g. rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables, vitamin powder) and supplies (e.g. sealing machines, plastic bags, packaging tape) from established suppliers.

We organize packing events where volunteers assemble the ingredients in a specified order and quantity, weigh and seal the bags, box them up, and load them onto pallets. The packaged meals are then shipped to those in need.
