The 2012 Board of directors, including the members elected in October, met for the first time on Monday, December 12th. The main purpose of this meeting was for the incoming board to elect four members to serve as corporate officers during the 2012 calendar year. Here are the results:

The December Board of Directors meeting is typically two meetings held back to back. The first meeting is the last regular meeting of the outgoing Board, and handles the normal business of the club for the month. All members of the incoming Board are typically asked to sit in on this meeting so that any new members can be brought up to speed on the club's current business.

Immediately after the first meeting is adjourned, the second meeting begins. This is the first meeting of the incoming board, and the most important task is for the members to determine who the club officers will be for the coming year. Diablo differs from other PCA regions in that all board members are elected "at large," and then the board members themselves determine which of them will serve as president, treasurer, et cetera. If there are other matters that can't wait until the next board meeting in January, they are dealt with as well.
