Satoshi submitted the following bio/statement when running for election to the Board in 2011.

My desire and goal is to grow our club and increase participation among our membership. I have been very active since joining the club in 2008, and already go to many Board meetings and annual planning meetings so that I can contribute my ideas and energy. I am very passionate and “walk my talk” by helping out with Wash & Shine, with various tours and activities, planning our first annual Newcomer & Family Picnic (with some major help from my wonderful wife Elsie) and now managing our “goodie store”. My vision is to build friendships and networks among PCA members so we can get to know each other and be able to help each other find parts, services, and other good stuff, and most of all, HAVE FUN!

Background: horticulturist, arborist, landscape designer. Hobbies: fly fishing, black bass fishing, travel.
Passion: old Porsches, pre-1973. Vote for me!

Sincerely,
Satoshi “Toshi” Iwahashi

Ingrid submitted the following bio/statement when running for election to the Board in 2011.

I have been a resident of the San Ramon Valley since 1965, when my parents relocated to Dublin from Southern CA. I graduated from California State University, Hayward with a Master’s Degree in Biology and worked in biotechnology research before starting my sales career, selling lab supplies and research products. I met my husband at work (he is in regulatory affairs with a pharmaceutical company) and we have called Livermore home since 2002.

Our first Porsche (my 1999 Boxster) joined the family on May 31, 2010. My husband was bitten by the Porsche bug and he bought his own (1999 Carrera) on April 9, 2011. we joined the PCA Diablo Region about a year ago and started going to the breakfasts, and on the tours. We have met a lot of great people and made many friends! I wanted to become more involved with the club and volunteered for the Advertising Chair position two months ago, since sales and marketing is right up my alley. The next step may be a position on the Board of Directors! Thanks for your support and I’m looking forward to many future activities with the club!

Luis submitted the following bio/statement when running for election to the Board in 2011.

I recently announced my candidacy for Board member in the upcoming PCA Diablo Re-gion election. I encourage all members to vote and welcome your support.

I joined the PCA Diablo Region in September of 2006. My membership within PCA co-incides with the purchase of my first Porsche. It was a Black 2005 Carrera coupe with only 1,800 miles. For me it was the most beautiful car I had over owned and any drive, from a couple of blocks to the local Safeway store, 3.5 miles to work at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, or a jaunt on 580 – was an amazing and a joy to drive experience! Since then there have been upgrades to the Porsches my wife Kathy and I drive but I will always remember the first one.

From the beginning of my association with the Diablo Region I became involved in Club activities. I actively supported and participated in the Diablo Driver’s Education Program (including serving as Track Chair), tours, dinners, and just for fun impromptu gatherings with other members and friends. One point of interest is the first tour my wife Kathy and I participated in – the Havana Cuba tour. It was our first tour and we hosted it.
