Marc Giamonna

Details

Marc submitted the following bio/statement when running for election to the Board in 2012.

How long have you been a PCA/Diablo member?

I have been a PCA member a total of 3 years. I was a member during 2003/04 and then rejoined Diablo PCA in March of 2011 when I ordered our new Cayman. My wife and I have enjoyed many club tours, working with the team on the 2012 Wash and Shine and I have a renewed interest in autocross and TSD rallies.

You have decided to run for the Diablo Board. What skills do you bring to the Board?

I believe I would bring a unique prospective to the board as I have been active in other automotive clubs and served as the conduit from the manufacturer to the club. Also, during my automotive career I regularly work in group settings and can quickly build consensus and guide outcomes.

What would you like to achieve while on the Board?

The current Board members and activity Chairs’ have done an excellent job of making the club appealing and accessible to its members by offering various types of events. I would like to see the offerings continue to expand and involve more members in activity design and execution. I would also like to see how the club can reach out to more owners to support and foster their Porsche ownership experience.

Please add any information you would like to have the members know about you and your reasons for pursuing a position on the Board.

For almost all of my 5 decades I have been a car guy. From working in the automotive industry to restoring and driving sports cars, I truly enjoy all things automotive. By partnering with the other Board members I will work to ensure that the region continues to be a vehicle to share and enhance the Porsche ownership experience.
